La Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión llevó adelante la 68º edición de los Premios Emmy, en el teatro Microsoft de Los Ángeles. Jimmy Kimmel condujo una ceremonia correcta, que no se caracterizó por tener altas dosis de humor, pero que dio en el clavo en términos de premios. Mucho mensaje político por la candidatura presidencial de Donald Trump y mucha referencia a la diversidad entre los nominados, a diferencia de la última entrega de los Oscar.
