La Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión de los Estados Unidos anunció oficialmente a todos los nominados para la 72º entrega de los Premios Emmy. Watchmen, Succession y Ozark son las que dominan la contienda, pero si hay un claro jugador de peso esta temporada es Netflix, que en total amasó un total de 160 nominaciones. Eso destroza el récord que HBO había fijado en el 2019 -con un total de 137-, pero es que sin Game of Thrones los números de la cadena bajaron considerablemente -107 nominaciones en total, de las cuales un cuarto corresponden a Watchmen-.
Los fanáticos notarán también una nominación para la aclamada The Mandalorian como mejor drama, un logro importante si se tiene en cuenta que no está mencionada en ninguna otra categoría. ¿Será este finalmente el año de Better Call Saul? Quienes la sigan, sabrán que es hora de que se la reconozca como la gran serie que es.
La ceremonia de este año se llevará adelante el domingo 20 de septiembre, con la conducción de Jimmy Kimmel.
